My experience here as a criminal justice major has been incredible. All of the professors here have real world experience. I have yet to meet a professor who hasn't been a retired FBI agent, a Secret Service agent, or a renowned research author. So you gain experience that you won't just see inside of a classroom. They'll teach you things that you can't learn out of a textbook.

The faculty in the arts and sciences department are great. Especially in the natural sciences you really get the opportunity to work one on one with your professors. I don't know another school where the dean or executive management will sit and have lunch with you. This has helped me in my professional career because I was able to receive wonderful letters of recommendation to gain my current internship with the federal government.

Being a student in the honors program, you are treated with a sense of prestige that other students might not experience. So you get the opportunity to better yourself, because you're taking courses that you wouldn't typically take.

Honors students get the opportunity to participate every year at the Harvard Model UN. Students get the opportunity to meet with other college students from all across the nation, gain knowledge, as well as share their perspectives on world issues today.
